I open my eyes to the sweet morning dawn, Stretching my arms I begin to yawn. I brush my teeth and take a refreshing bath, With bread and butter, I have my breakfast. I remember my homework and let out a cry, But as my mates call, my tears go dry. All day long there is no sign of me, After having a jolly good time, I return home when it is time for tea. With much effort, I open my books, Which I feel don’t give me anything, Then, comes to an end a delicious holiday, Oh no! tomorrow is Monday. Rajat Sethi, VIII-C, St Joseph’s Convent School, Ferozepore Cantt Prayer for rain O God, send the rain, Let loose the silver passion of rain. Send it swiftly from above, As a token of your love, God of passion, send the rain. Glorify the bushes and the trees, Make the brooks look like seas. With tassels of rain, Let the earth shine again. With the magnificent rain, Sap the crop of golden grain. Fill the valleys and dales, With your slanting gales. Vipul Gupta, IX-C, Sainik School, Kapurthala Pollution Pollution is everywhere, But about it some people don’t ever care. Pollution affects the rains, It harms the trees, Pollution comes from vehicles, And also from factories, I hate pollution, To this problem, we must find a solution. Srishti Garg, VI-D,
