TO revive the Pakistan film industry, Pakistani TV artist-turned film producer Humayun Saeed is producing a film with a Rs 50-crore budget, the script of which is being written by Indian film writer Javed Siddiqui and lyrics given by Gulzar. The film will be shot at different locations in Pakistan and the US. The shooting is scheduled to begin in April. Javed Siddique, who is currently in Lahore, earned fame after writing scripts for Bollywood blockbusters like Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jaingai, Baazigar, Fiza, Zubeida, Koi Mil Gaya and Umraao-Jan-e-Ada. Confirming that he was producing the film, Saeed said: "I am producing this film as an effort to revive the Pakistani film industry." He added that the film’s cast had not been finalised yet, but actors from both India and Pakistan could be given a chance. — ANI |
