Clock your moves
Jaspal Bhatti

Microsoft’s Cambridge office in Britain is designing a special clock that will allow parents to keep track of family members.

Although the design is still in the conceptualisation phase, I think women are going to be the happiest about this device as it will enable them to keep track of their husbands’ movements after office hours. A husband would be heard grudgingly telling his friend, "No I cannot accompany you to the pub as my wife has purchased a satellite-enabled clock to keep tabs on me!"

Mothers-in-law are bound to be fascinated by this clock. They will look at the clock and say, "Bahu mandir ka bahana laga ke kitty party gayee hai. Aane de ghar, khabar leti hoon."

Children who run away from schools to watch movies will have to come up with new excuses on getting caught because of these clocks.

But I am sure that before these clocks come into the market, someone will come out with a gadget to jam these clocks. So while you enjoy beer in Shimla, the clock will read to your wife in the house that you are attending a serious business meeting in Ambala.
