Teeth-whitening technology from USA
Our Correspondent

Ludhiana, July 10
Relax - most of the Hollywood or Bollywood stars are not born with beautiful white teeth - they have undergone a ‘teeth-whitening’ process to achieve those million dollar smiles.

It is now possible for each and every one of us to have the same kind of ‘pearly white’ smile and that too in an hour’s time only. This has been made possible by the state-of-the-art teeth-whitening technology from the USA, known as ‘BriteSmile Professional Teeth-Whitening’, developed by a former NASA scientist.

Stating this at a news conference here today, Dr Vivek Sggar, a noted dental surgeon, specialising in cosmetic dentistry, informed that for the first time this technology would be available in the city. He explained that the technique used a combination of whitening gel and cool blue light - shone directly onto the gel-covered teeth. “The chemistry of gel and light creates a whitening effect to erase stubborn tooth stains, including the very resistant tetracycline stain.

He claimed that the BriteSmile procedure whitened the teeth by an average of eight shades, and even more for individuals with darker teeth. The treatment took just over an hour, and delivered results that lasted for up to 2-3 years. Usually it would take up to 4 weeks to achieve these results with other methods.
