Casting couch and sting operations are not the only predators in Bollywood. There are marauders that are more dangerous and even more life threatening. This summer will see a host of spine-chilling episodes on National Geographic Channel’s Intriguing India. On June 19 at 8 pm the show travels to Mumbai, which has been dealing with a nightmare. The energetic Film City shares its boundary wall with the Sanjay Gandhi National Park, which houses leopards. These silent carnivores have been crossing over to Film City and have so far killed 24 persons on the sets. According to a spokesperson of the channel, "The city has encroached upon leopard land and these beasts are now turning to human habitation for food." Don’t miss the action as the NGC follows senior forest officer and leopard specialist Prakash Thosre as he tries to trap the animals and return them to their original habitat in a bid to resolve this nasty man-animal conflict. — NF |
