With
a growing overseas audience, Indian films are becoming a hot favourite
in the US. Awards functions have also moved base to cater to this
growing popularity .Yash Chopra receives Best Film Award for Veer-Zaara
at the 2005 Bollywood Awards at the Trump Taj Mahal Casino in Atlantic
City. Veer-Zaara swept the awards by winning top honours in six
categories. Yash Chopra got the best director, Shah Rukh Khan bagged
the best actor, Aditya Chopra best story, Manish Malhotra best costume
design awards at the ceremony. Late Madan Mohan, whose unused
compositions were re-recorded for the film, was given the best music
award which was accepted by his grandson.
