There can be no knowledge without college, As there can be no life without strife, There can be no power without water, As there can be no initiative without motive. There can be no creation without invention, As there can be no operation without mission. There can be no gain without pain, As there can be no grain without rain. There can be no pleasure without leisure, As there can be no treasurer without treasure. Gurnoor, Class VIII-C, Wave of sympathy It came; it came.... But what was it? Something which no one could predict, Something which left everything adrift. The sleeping eyes had never dreamt, That they would never see the morning sun. They had no time to count, The deeds that they had left undone. The fishermen could never imagine, That it was the last time that they had cast their net. It was a wave, A killer wave. A mere show of His power, To those who had just learnt to fold their hands before Him. A fearful atmosphere, For those who just stepped out of their mother’s womb. A graveyard, For those left surviving. It was a speedster, Which did not distinguish between the good and bad, young and old, weak and bold. Have some pity on their fate, Go ahead and donate.
