BITS AND BYTES THE Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) has introduced the system of a computer-based, online test for admissions to its forthcoming session this year. Known as BITS Admission Test--2005 (BITSAT), it will be held in various centers across the country between April 10 and June 20, 2005. Students taking the plus two exams this year are eligible for the test. The basic qualification is 80 per cent aggregate marks with physics, chemistry and mathematics (PCM) as the subjects, and a minimum of 60 per cent marks in each of these subjects for the BE-Hons, M. Sc-Hons, M.Sc-Tech, Master of Management Studies and B. Pharma-Hons programmes. The deadline for applying for the test is January 31, 2005.
