Protest against scheduling of training

Chandigarh, December 13
Vocational instructors in government school have lamented that the wrong scheduling of an ‘in service training’ programme, being run by the Chandigarh Education Department, was affecting their teaching. As regular teachers had gone for the in service training programme, their duties of the terminal examinations were being forced on the vocational staff.

Demanding that the training programme should have been conducted at the start of the current academic session, the instructors said the schedule was affecting the studies of the students who had already appeared in their second terminal examinations which began on December 1. The training programme for teachers of English and Science teachers is scheduled to begin from December 14. TNS
