Kuchh Love Kuchh Masti…Three’s company
Kuchh Love Kuchh Masti…Three’s company

IF HBO can score a bull’s eye with the adult lifestyle comedy Sex and the City, what’s stopping Sahara One from going to town with the story of three glam dolls with an appetite for love and sex?

Kuchh Love Kuchh Masti Monday to Thursday 10 pm is as Sahara One puts it, "A love story with attitude." It’s about Neena, Puja and Vartika and the three issues that impact their lives intensely—men, relationships and sex.

Neena falls for a man double her age as she thinks men mature only after 40. Puja thinks no man is complete, so she divides her affection between two guys. Vartika says marriage is redundant and wants a relationship without tying the knot. She gets involved with a married man.

Three feisty young girls pursuing the call of love and lust in search of the right man. Will they find him? No one knows but going by the promos, the serial promises to sizzle. In these times of Mallika Sherawats and Neha Dhupias what sizzles is what sells.

Doctor’s debut

Anuj Saxena:
Anuj Saxena: The flush of fame for doctor-turned-actor

Anuj Saxena would like to believe he’s in high company. The dashing Abhay of Kkusum, who was recently is in America for the shooting of his debut film Lips had a brush with Bollywood royalty he’s not likely to forget in a long time.

When he arrived at the Atlantic City, near Washington, he was mobbed by a crowd of Indian fans. The entire crew was baffled by the warm reception.

The truth was soon out when he realised that Shah Rukh was about to arrive for a sold out stage show at the Donald Trump casino.

Seeing Anuj emerge from a car, many thought he was a star from the Khan entourage. What was most flattering for the doctor-turned-actor was that many in the crowd who watch Hindi TV pay channels knew who he was and mobbed him for autographs. Which is why no one is surprised to see that special spring in his gait these days!

These are surely the best of times for Divya Dutta who seems to have become the cynosure of the big screen. She thanks television for becoming the focus of attention. Sumit Sachdev in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi….

From the malicious Gomzi Bhai to the Star Parivar’s Best Bhai, Sumit Sachdev’s role in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi has sure gone down well with viewers. An architect- turned-actor who took a break from designing structures for an Amir Raza Hussain play The Fifty Day War, it’s been one long successful stretch.

Says he, "I don’t know what the Star Parivar award means for others. But for me it means a lot. It’s taken me two years to evolve from a brat to a responsible adult. I’ve loved every minute of this amazing journey." That he "loved every minute of it" was evident from Sumit’s emotional speech which lasted for over 15 minutes (y-a-w-n). " I got carried away," he says somewhat sheepishly.

And with the way his acting skills have improved, it’s definitely not his last award. "It’s just a matter of enjoying what you do. I’ve put in all my energies doing it," says he.

Surprisingly his debut film Khaall left audiences cold. But that’s not crushed him. He says he’s now decided not to digress but to stick to the tried and tested (KSBKBT).

"Viewers will just have to wait for my re-entry into Bollywood." After Khaall no one’s really missing him.
