FOR the first time, Music Today has come up with a 10-album collection of an extensive range of traditional and powerful chants, stutis, strotras, kirtans and aartis of 10 Hindu gods under its devotional segment. These are Ganesha, Hanuman, Krishna, Rama, Shiva, Om Sai, Surya, Durga and Gayatri. The album also features the Gayatri Mantra along with the Kshama Prarthanas. These have been rendered by Suresh Wadker. Shri Surya has been sung by Shubha Mudgal, while Sri Durga by the Gundecha Brothers.
Padmashree Laloo Prasad Yadav (Universal) The music of this film is as wacky as the title itself. None could be wackier than the title number itself. It has been sung by KK, Vinod Rathod and Nitin Raikwar, and is a riot. Things get even more colourful in Chidiya chidiya and its Fadoo mix, whatever that means, to which the director of the film, Mahesh Manjrekar, who also stars in it, has lent his voice, along with Vaishali Samant. While Anand Anand Raj is the main music director, some songs have also been composed by Sukhwinder Singh and Nitin Raikwar. — ASC This feature was published on September 25, 2004 |
