DMC stalemate continues
Tribune News Service

Ludhiana, September 9
The ongoing strike at Hero Heart Centre, a unit of Dayanand Medical College and Hospital, entered the fifth day today as striking employees stuck to their stand, although they held several rounds of meetings with the secretary of the DMCH managing committee, Mr Amrit Nagpal.

Mr Nagpal told The Tribune that he was hopeful that the issue would be resolved soon. He pointed out it was a dispute between two factions of the employees’ union and the management was being held to ransom by one faction.

The main reason behind the strike was the alleged slapping of a security guard by Ms Rajwant Kaur Randhawa, who heads a faction of the employees’ union. The striking employees demand disciplinary action against Ms Randhawa.
