HIGH COURT
Bhardwaj case

Chandigarh, May 28
The Officer on Special Duty (Rules) of the Punjab and Haryana High Court on Friday filed a reply to counter the claims of suspended Judicial Magistrate S.S. Bhardwaj, which was taken on record by a Division Bench. In the reply, the court has stated that his conduct was not short of a hardened criminal.

The court made this claim in the light of the appearance of Bhardwaj before a private news channel.

It said it was a violation of the judicial ethics of High Court Rules and Orders, which state that no Judicial Officer, except with the prior sanction of the high court, can participate in a television programme or discussion.
