Rhyme Time

If...

If it were all upto me;

The slave would be free &

a blind man would see.

The hungry would eat &

corrupt would not cheat.

The weak would be strong &

people with hatred would all get along.

The poor would have riches,

No heartbreaks, no stiches.

The ones who are greedy would

start to share &

unfriendly people would start to care.

The thirsty would drink &

everything bad would sink.

The deaf would hear &

there’ll be no eye with a tear.

Thus, sorrows and sadness would all disappear.

This is how the world would be....

......if it were all upto me.

My dear mom

Sometimes we get busy in our lives each day,

We neglect to tell people things we should say.

As I pondered these thoughts with you in mind,

I realised how important it was to find time.

I want to tell you my thoughts on paper,

So when we’re apart you can read them later.

You’re a very special lady, who showered me with love

I am thankful for you as I’ve told God above.

This poem could never be sent to any other

Because it’s written specially for you, my mother.
