SCREAMING is most often associated with fear, warning or excitement. But in dreams it is more commonly seen as a sign of fear or warning. As per Indian thought, if you hear someone scream in your dream then be prepared for some good news regarding a near and dear one. Should you hear a scream of joy or happiness then be prepared for sad news. On the contrary, should the scream be out of sorrow or fear, then you can be sure of some financial gain in gambling or lottery. But at the same time, on the personal front, it also portends tension and worry about the welfare of someone you care for. As per western thought, hearing yourself scream in a dream is indicative of worrisome situations. You shall have to face worries and insecurity. To see someone else shout in fear or pain is indicative of bad news regarding that person. According to psychologists, screaming in your dreams is like a catharsis. Something you fear in real life but are unable to express is often represented as a scream of fear in dreams. Similar interpretations apply to dreams of screaming out of happiness or as a warning. A man aged 43 would often see himself screaming at someone, telling the person to be careful and not to move. Then he would scream in horror as if he had seen something bad happen to that person. The fact that the other person could not be identified meant that the dreamer was screaming at himself. It his own fears which were being projected to the other person. The dreamer was aware of some danger to himself but was unable to do much in real life to avoid it. Thus, screaming in his dreams was a catharsis for his feelings. |
