Little Angels School celebrates Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day was celebrated in various schools here today. Little children hugged and kissed their mothers as they were told in the schools by their teachers about Mother’s Day . SMSs about what mothers mean were sent to mothers. A message said the letter M in mother stands for “motivation” O for “only one”, T for “tender love”, H for “heart”, E for “efforts” a mother makes and , R for “responsibilities” the mother undertakes.

Functions to celebrate Mother’s Day were held in many schools. There were function in some schools on Saturday as Sunday was a holiday.One such Mother’s Day function was organised at Little Angels PlayWay School here today. Students’ mothers were invited to the function.Ms Sandhaya Johri, principal of the school, put ‘bindis’ on the mothers’ foreheads to welcome them.

A quiz on general awareness was organised for the mothers. The Mother of Ripudarman, Ms Jagbir Kaur won the first prize while Ms Geeta Bhalla won the second prize. The third prize was shared by Ms Savita Jain and Ms Mamta Sharma. Games of tambola were enjoyed by the mothers.

Another competition useful tips on children, cooking and household, was held. Ms Amarjit Kaur and Ms Shalu Garg bagged prizes by giving useful tips.

Ms Manmeet Kaur and Ms Gauri won the prizes for the best dressed mothers. Ms Harsh Sarna received the prize for punctuality.
