HIS good looks and impressive aura have won him rave reviews and made him arguably the most popular actor on the small screen.

However reaching the top was not a cakewalk for Cezanne Khan (Anurag Basu of Kasauti Zindagii Kay). He gave up MBA for a movie that was later shelved. A lucky stroke got him small roles in Hasratein, Dushman and Palchchin.

"Had I not landed a role in Ekta Kapoor’s Kalirein and then Kasautii Zindagi Kay, I’d have been easily forgotten. As it was people who heard my name then confused me with Hrithik Roshan’s wife, Suzanne Khan," grins Cezzane.

Today, however, he does not suffer from an identity crisis. He is busy reading new scripts, which include another Balaji project. Alongside, film offers are pouring in.

His professional platter is certainly full but there is another side to this enigmatic star that will certainly interest many of his female fans. Cezanne is single and ready to mingle provided he meets someone whom he can connect with.

With things going hunky-dory, Cezanne Khan has nothing to complain about. What else could he want from life? "A perfect girl," he sighs.

Pilot project

THE Baroda ka bhau is all set to change his screen image. After flying high as a pilot in Saara Aakash, Manav Govil is now donning a cop’s uniform for Sony’s top suspense thriller CID.

"If you are careless about what you accept you end up playing the same kind of roles. I am constantly looking for change," says Manav, all set to join the CID team. The actor says he’s consciously working towards an image makeover and giving himself the freedom to mature.

"I am really excited by the turn of events. CID is a slick, dramatic and absolutely unpredictable thriller and performing with an actor like Shivaji Satam is giving a new edge to my abilities," gushes Manav.

Manav says he’s unlikely to pick up any more assignments till he’s playing cop in CID.

Model show

THEIR experiment with kudis and mundas may not have been earth shattering but it must be said that the action never stops at Channel V.

After the countrywide hunt for singing talent that resulted first in Viva, followed by Aasma, it has now launched a countrywide hunt for a supermodel called Get Gorgeous.

Channel V will visit six metros—Delhi, Kolkata, Pune, Bangalore, Chennai and Mumbai—to discover the new face of Indian modelling. The chosen one will go through a series of mesmerizing makeovers with the sultans of style. Taking aspirants through this metamorphosis is the channel’s style queen VJ Sarah Jane. — NF
