RHYME TIME
A brother recalls

My sis has gone;

Gone to her home, her paradise.

My sis has left,

Left my home, her paradise.

My mom is sad;

At times she cries;

But this had to happen,

It’s her destiny, tells my dad.

How silly we look in the video,

Dancing to Punjabi tunes;

Aware of the fact that

In a few moments, my sis,

The life of my home, will go!

I have to clean my room,

And now I iron my pants myself;

And I have to eat the whole chocolate,

The first half goes down alright

But the second makes me sick!

But they tell me you’re happy there,

It makes me feel relieved.

May you live long!

May you enjoy your life!

But please, please ask these echoes

Of my ‘house’ to shut up.

The last wicket

I was playing cricket

and was on my last wicket.

The whole team had hope in their eyes

which were looking big and wide.

The bowler threw the ball with a spin

I hit it with a grin.

What a great shot! I have got,

Only a point away from victory.

I was stupid because at that moment

I was thinking about chemistry.

Just then the bowler threw the ball,

My eyes went on it and with full force I hit it.

I got the point, I won the game,

Among my society and friends I got fame.

When I came home and told my mother,

She said, "If you concentrate while practicing cricket."

One day you will become like Sachin,

and never lose a wicket.

Live without fear

If you believe in God,

Try to see him in yourself.

It is not enough that you are religious,

God also wants your heart to be pious.

Make your thinking clear,

Without any fear.

Then you will see that

Soon a miracle will be there.

And then you would be

Able to see God everywhere.
