On a pearl hunt
Jyotika Kapur Ghai

TO enable myself for the best possible survival, I thought it prudent to equip myself with a wonderful electronic wizard called PC, which I feel has become mandatory for one and all. I applied for a computer course and was quite excited upon being selected for it, with the apprehensions of usefulness of such a refresher course prevailing on my mind.

Exploring the computer is quite a unique experience and one must understand it is a world in itself. The prowess to confront various features is like taking a plunge into the vast ocean of computer.

In no time, I thought of taking the plunge, as I was confident of my rescuers. These rescuers will not just bail me out but also make me learn to stay, face the tides and manage on my own till a certain level of expertise and dexterity are achieved.

Confident, I kept taking the plunge each time going further deep down and finally started coming up with some pearls, even though they were rough-shaped in need of polish. I flaunted these with glee and that gave a boost to my morale. In the beginning of this voyage, I would often get lost, confronting chaotic situations. However later, I started cherishing these intricacies, as these were like a relaxing walk in the wilderness.

I strongly recommend one and all to dive in and treat yourself to this wonderful world of IT revolution. This is a joy forever. Who knows you might come across precious pearls, may be jewels too, which could be worn without polishing. This is a fathomless sea waiting to be explored. Start cruising right away.
