Teachers’ association seeks action against V-C

All India Federation of University and College Teachers Organisation (AIFUCTO) and Haryana Government College Teachers’ Association (HGCTA) in a fax message sent to the Governor has demanded to withdraw agenda item No 34, pertaining to proposed disciplinary action against Mr Wazir Singh Nehra, president, Maharshi Dayanand University Teachers’ Association (MDUTA) Rohtak.

The association also sought disciplinary action against the Vice-Chancellor Maj Gen (retd) Bhim Singh Suhag and appointment of a panel to probe allegations against him. In a press statement, the secretary of AIFUCTO, Prof Atam Prakash and the general secretary of HGCTA, Prof Karan Singh, said today that a meeting of the state executives would be held on January 11, in the Government College Bhiwani to discuss the proceedings of the executive council’s meeting.
