LINKSYS, a division of Cisco Systems Inc., has officially launched its line of wired and wireless networking products and services throughout India. Linksys enters the India market to provide innovative solutions immediately at affordable prices for the reseller and small business market segments. Linksys Division will provide immediate sales support to distribution partners Ingram Micro India Limited and Tech Pacific India Limited.

Intel-Marico

Intel India has announced that a leading local Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) Marico, is upgrading its planning and supply network systems on servers powered by Intel Itanium 2 processors with 3 MB L3 cache. This deployment is expected to significantly enhance the efficiency and responsiveness of all processes along its entire supply chain, improving and facilitating real-time decision making for demand and supply forecast and planning activities. The architecture comprises three Intel Itanium 2-based HP rx5670 4- way, servers running MYSAP SCM application.

IBM ships Quantum

Quantum Corporation, a global leader in data storage, has announced that IBM Corporation will ship Quantum’s DLT VS160 tape drive with its eServer xSeries to customers worldwide. This joint initiative between Quantum and IBM will provide customers with additional performance and value in DLTtape solutions for the entry-level segment of the mid-range market.
