Dreaming of knees

IT is very rare to see knees in dreams. Dreams of other body parts are more common although knees as a dream symbol are very rare.

As per Indian thought, to see your knee injured and bleeding in your dreams predicts a mishap. Your life shall be full of worries, tension and discomfort. Your business and profession may suffer. The main reason behind all these problems will be your jealousy of others. So after such a dream you should try to change your attitude towards people. To see your knees swollen and painful are indicative of sorrows and pain.

As per western thought, to dream that your knees are too large denotes sudden ill-luck. Should they be stiff and painful, it means that a fearful calamity awaits you. Should a woman dream of possessing beautiful knees, it means that she has several admirers. Should your knees be soiled then you are warned to be prepared for stomach problems. Should they be misshapen and abnormal then it means that unfortunate changes in your fortune shall dishearten you. Dreams of knees are, thus, not considered to be lucky.

As per psychoanalysts, knees are symbolic of prayers, humility and commitment. You generally see yourself on your knees only when you are praying or professing some emotion such as love, grief or forgiveness. Seeing injured knees could have two interpretations: one, your desire to avoid commitment, and two, you feel helpless in face of situations which are not allowing you to commit.

A 33-year-old woman would often dream of feeling a lot of itchiness and swelling on her knee, but when she would lift her clothes to see her knee, it would be all right. As soon as she would put down her dress, she would again feel the swelling and itchiness. The dream is indicative of her desire to avoid certain situations but she is unable to find appropriate and justified reasons to avoid them. Thus, whenever she picks up her clothes, she finds nothing wrong with her knee.
