SAAZ from Zenith

Zenith, an Indian-brand PC manufacturer, has launched SAAZ (Systems and Applications Administration from Zenith). It is a complete IT management suite that consists of tools for managing core operating systems, mail servers and Web servers. It also consists of a system administration tool and a disaster-recovery tool enabling administrators to assist users across the enterprise network from a remote console. A special feature of SAAZ is the ability to monitor and prevent employees from indulging in unproductive activities like chatting or e-mail during office hours.

Cisco Systems

Cisco Systems, Inc. announced that Dishnet, India’s premier Internet service provider (ISP), has chosen Cisco networking equipment to increase Dishnet’s bandwidth capacity to 622 MBPS outside India as a means to offer new services, such as videoconferencing, to customers throughout India and Asia at substantially lower prices. With its new application initiative of offering voice and video services, which require higher bandwidth, Dishnet is discontinuing satellite network operations.

Yash offshore centre

Yash Technologies Inc., an Illinois software company, announced opening of a new offshore development centre (ODC) in Hyderabad. The new ODC in Hyderabad will help Yash expand its offshore resources from 100 to 250 and support its global clients in the US, Europe, Middle East and domestic markets. The centre will have competency centres in the ERP, data warehousing and business intelligence, Microsoft .Net, e-business, quality services and product engineering.
