Students get training in safe riding

New Delhi: Hero Honda Motors Ltd organised a ‘ride safe campaign’ for schoolchildren here today. The programme, held at the Traffic Training Park in Punjabi Bagh, was held in association with the Delhi Traffic Police.

Students from five schools in the Capital were imparted training on safe riding and live demonstrations on techniques of safe driving aspects, which include pre-riding inspection, correct sitting postures and driving on rough terrain. A slogan-writing contest and a quiz on safety were also part of the event. Speaking on the occasion, Mr M. K. Meena, DCP, Delhi Traffic Police, said, “This is indeed a very encouraging initiative by a corporate. I am sure the students present have benefited a lot from the programme and will continue to follow as well as further spread their learning to others”. TNS
