DirectWay Fusion
HUGHES
Escorts Communications Limited (HECL), India’s leading satellite
service provider, has announced the launch of DirectWay Fusion — a
revolutionary new concept in Indian retailing space, to deliver a basket
of services ranging from pre-paid and post-paid transaction services
including bill payments, education, broadband Internet and a host of
other services to consumers. HECL is looking to roll out nearly 250
kiosks by the end of 2003. DirectWay Fusion will be taken to 200 more
Indian towns and cities by 2005 making the total number 5000.
3G secure JavaCard
STMicroelectronics and the
Kudelski Group announced the signature of a framework development and
licence agreement to provide a 3G Secure JavaCard system solution. This
system solution consists of an advanced background compatible 3G SIM/USIM
card with a revolutionary design enabling telecom operators as well as
third-party application providers to easily design and deploy new mobile
services with the utmost security features. The jointly developed
solution represents a truly open and standard-compliant card in the
telecom market. It will be deployed in the course of the first half of
2004.
JobsAhead MoU
India’s e-recruitment
company, JobsAhead, has signed an MoU with National HRD Network (Delhi
Chapter). As per the agreement, JobsAhead will jointly co-host NHRD
(Delhi Chapter) interactive monthly forums. The monthly forum is not
just a good platform for bringing together professionals in the area of
HR but significantly acts as a catalyst in promoting flow of best HR
views, ideas and practices amongst them.
