Go stylish with diyas and puja thaalis
A glass painting of Lord Ganesha to brighten up your walls
|
LET
the festive fervour seep into the four walls of your home. Let every
member be a part of it. Traditionally, the house is made spick and
span before Divali. So, now it’s time to brighten it up. The
ambience will surely bring cheer to everyone. Let’s start with the
entrance.
Combine rangoli with
various accessories. The rangoli can be done with different
materials like dyed sawdust, Holi colours, coloured rice, pulses,
broken bangles or fresh flower petals, which are the easiest to
handle. Draw the base design on the floor and neatly fill it up with
material chosen. Use a scale to straighten the edges, especially while
making geometrical designs. You could make any kind of design —
borders, florals, paisleys, etc. Accessories it with mirrors, diyas,
and candles. A toran hanging at the entrance looks
welcoming. Make your own with rose and marigold flowers. Small rangolis
can also be made for the lobby or other rooms. These can be made
either on the floor or on a big thaali, which can be
placed anywhere in the house. You could have it on a table in a corner
of the room or in the puja area, next to the deities.
