Academy lift hockey title New Delhi, October 5 Satpal opened the account for the winners in the eighth minute by converting a penalty corner. Yashpal hit home the second goal in the 13th minute off a penalty stroke while Parminder scored the third goal in the 18th minute. A minute later, Gurmit pulled off a consolation goal for Academy Club. On resumption, Satpal consolidated the lead for PNB Academy when he produced their fourth goal in the 50th minute. Parminder scored the second goal for Academy Club at the fag end of the tie. Mr S. S. Chopra, assistant general manager of Punjab National Bank, gave away the prizes. |
Under-15 cricket trials on Oct 11 at DPS Rohtak, October 5 Haryana has to host two matches of the Polly Umrigar Trophy this session. Haryana will take on Himachal Pradesh at Rohtak on November 11 to 13 whereas the Haryana versus Delhi tie will be held at the same venue from November 17 to 19. |
