VIA motherboard THE world’s second-largest maker of chipsets for personal computers, VIA Technologies, has launched its smallest Nano ITX motherboard with full personal computer functionality for next generation for home, office and commercial PC devices. The VIA smallest mainboard measures 12cm x 12cm, a press note issued in New Delhi said. As part of its strategy, VIA has started working with key industry partners and governments worldwide to bring cost-effective but feature-rich products to provide people with education and communication resources as well as entertainment and commerce, it added. Eyeing the
400-million-dollar business intelligence (BI) market in India, Microsoft
has launched a BI accelerator, a set of tools and technologies that
streamline BI implementation. The market leader in BI technology also
announced that it would introduce the SQL reporting services in India in
December. The launch of the products, along with the upcoming Office
2003, will make Microsoft the only end-to-end BI products vendor, Group
Manager Sanjiv Mathur told reporters. While Microsoft will provide the
technology for the BI accelerator, it will have partnerships with
companies such as Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and Cap Gemini Ernst
and Young Consulting India to customise the product. Microsoft will
target the high-growth banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI),
manufactuing and retail sectors with its BI solution. |
