Panasonic's new compact digital still camera DMC-FX5, integrating Leica's technology with Panasonic's digital video technology, is unveiled in Tokyo. The camera is the world's first 3x optical zoom compact digital camera equipped with an optical image stabiliser. The DMC-FX5 will go on sale in November with a price tag around 55,000 yen (about $495).
