MDU entrance test for MSc Physics to be held on July 5

The entrance test for admission to M.Sc Physics (Previous) of Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU) will be held on July 5. The entrance test was earlier scheduled for July 2, but was subsequently preponed to July 1.

However, due to certain administrative reasons, the entrance test will be held on July 5(from 8.45 am to 10 am).

The MDU has invited applications from candidates desirous of seeking admission to B.E/B.Tech/B.Arch courses (session 2003-04) in various institutions and colleges in the state under 15 per cent all India quota seats.

The all India seats include candidates from Haryana as well.

The candidates who have not appeared in CEET-2003 conducted by the MDU but have appeared in the All India Engineering Entrance Test (AIEEE)-2003 conducted by the CBSE may obtain the prospectus issued by this university for all India quota seats and apply on the prescribed form on or before July 2 upto 5 pm.

The candidates belonging to Haryana, who have appeared in the CEET-2003 and AIEEE-2003 shall fill the prescribed admission form available in the prospectus issued by MDU giving their option for consideration for all India quota seats, mentioning their AIEEE rank along with the CEET rank.

Counselling for MBA and MCA courses

Candidates appearing for the centralized counselling for admission to MBA and MCA courses in universities and institutions of Haryana will have to pay a token fee of Rs 5,000.

A press release by the Maharshi Dayanand University today stated that the candidates would have to deposit the remaining amount within a week at the allotted institution/department of the university.

The M D University would conduct the MBA counselling from July 3 to July 8 and the MCA counselling from July 10 to July 15.

Date for submission of marksheets extended

Maharshi Dayanand University has extended the date of submission of marksheets of the qualifying examinations (Bachelor’s degree only) for the candidates taking the B.Ed (regular) entrance examination, 2003 from June 25 to July 5.

A spokesman for the university administration today said that the university had made special arrangements for receipt of these documents from the candidates on the specified day.

He said the entrance exam for admission to B.Ed course in affiliated educational colleges would be held on June 30.
