Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Uttaranchal, at many places in Himachal Pradesh, east Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh, at a few places in Haryana and Punjab and at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir. Weather was mainly dry in west Rajasthan. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: Haryana: Delhi Ridge 8, Delhi Bridge 7, New Delhi (Safdarjung) 6 and Ambala 1, Himachal Pradesh: Ghamroor and Rajgarh 4 each, Kangra and Nagrota Surian 3 each and Paonta Sahib, Shimla and Sujanpur Tira 1 each, Jammu and Kashmir: Jammu 2, Punjab: Batala 6, Pathankot 5, Amritsar 2 and Nangal 1, east Rajasthan: Pratapgarh 9, Boondi 8, Arnia, Shahpura and Sanganer 7 each, Abhaypura, Chakshu and Chanda ka Talab 6 each, Jhalawar and Rawatbhata 5 each, Arnod, Danpur, Jaipur and Mohamabad 4 each, Galiakot, Laxmangarh and Viratnagar 3 each, Chomu, Chawali, Kota, Sanbhar and Vardadam 2 each, Bari, Beseri, Malakhera, Pipalkhut, Phagi, Rainbasera and Rapur 1 each, east Uttar Pradesh: Gorakhpur and Kakrahi 4 each, Jaunpur, Khadda, Rigoli and Varanasi A.P. 3 each, Basti, Bansi and Birdghat 2 each and Balia, Balrampur, Chhatnag and kakardharighat 1 each, west Uttar Pradesh: Bareilly 11, Dabri 3 and Hindon 1, and Uttaranchal: Haripur 7, Hardwar 5, Banbasa, Tehri and Rudraprayag 4 each, Dehradun, Marora and Pantnagar 2 each and Uttarkashi 1.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures rose appreciably in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Punjab, rose in east Uttar Pradesh, fell in west Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere.

Departures: They were appreciably below normal in Uttar Pradesh, below normal in Punjab, Rajasthan and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 41.9°C, recorded at Dholpur (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of June 27: Rain or thundershowers will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh, east Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, at a few places in Haryana and Punjab and at isolated places in the rest of the region.

Heavy rainfall warning: Isolated heavy rain is likely in Himachal Pradesh, est Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal during the next 48 hours.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of June 27: Mainly cloudy sky with one or two spells of rain or thundershowers. Maximum temperature will be around 36°C.

Farmers weather bulletin for Delhi: Forecast valid until the morning of June 27: Light to moderate rain will occur at a few places.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: No large change.
