Deep, Puneet Shine in Turf Cup New Delhi, June 9 An unbroken century partnership between Deep Luthra (79 not out off 71 balls) and Puneet Mehra (57 not out, 5x4, 3x6, 35b) was the highlight of R P Academy’s victory. Electing to bat first, Modern School scored 206 for 2 in 30 overs with the help of a strokeful 106, off 93 balls with 13 fours and two sixes, by Abhishek Kapur. In reply, R P Academy scored at a brisk pace to overtake Modern School’s total in 29.2 overs. Abhishek Kapur was adjudged the best batsman while Puneet Mehra got the man of the match award. Devi Lal Memorial Wrestling at Hisar New Delhi, June 9 Mr Chautala, who distributed the prizes during the closing ceremony of the 16th Asian Wrestling Championship, praised the achievements of the Indian wrestlers in international competitions. India won four silver and six bronze medals in the Asian Championship. He hailed the good job done by WFI president M. S. Malik. Mr Malik, in turn, expressed his gratitude to the Chief Minister for the unstinted support extended by him for the promotion of sports in Haryana. He said the liberal sports policy and the cash incentives offered by the Haryana Government have given a big boost to sports in the State. Mr Malik also hailed the commendable performance of the Indian grapplers in the Asian Championship.
