Miseries that war brings
Vinod Kumar

WARr brings nothing but hostility and distress. Whenever war breaks out, civilians especially children, are the most affected. War has claimed lives of more than two million children and made many disabled in the past few decades. The war not only inflicts physical but psychological wounds as well. It is because of this impact that war has on orphaned kids that efforts are being made to protect them from it. June 4 is observed as the International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression. We are providing you a list of Websites, which will provide information about the organisations that help those children who are victims of aggression.

www.unicef.org

This is the official Website of United Nation’s Children’s Fund (UNICEF) that works internationally for the protection of children’s rights and their basic needs. This site is divided into different sections. On this site, a dropdown is given that will guide you through this site. You will find a detailed section on Iraq that contains latest information about the plight of children and women there. Videos of children in post-war Iraq are given. Those who are interested can make donations for a noble cause and can also take part in discussions on Iraq. A search engine is given on this site, which can be used to search information. This site is available in English, Spanish, French and many more languages.

www.warchild.org

This Website belongs to independent organisations, which is working across the world to help children affected by war. Aims, background and history of this organisation are also available. Here you can know about latest news, articles and projects that War Child has launched. If someone is willing to help these children they can then make a donation on this site. Details of jobs that are available on War Child are given on this site. One can read the guest-book and can also sign it.
