Beauty of the night

The tranquil atmosphere and the aromatic breeze,

The moon was caught in the branches of trees.

Calmly, it came out and glittered like a precious gem,

and the faint glimpse of an old woman spinning, was visible then.

The silvery pot was spilling silver everywhere, and playing with the mischievous clouds that came near.

The little tiwnkling stars had started to shine,

Scattered in the night sky that looked so divine.

The silver ripples of water seemed like

Silver ribbons fluttering proudly in dark deep river,

A single glance at it, sent down my

spine an unexpected shiver.

Up above, the clouds seemed like soft, creamy cakes

The ball of silver was entangled in these cotton flakes,

Then it came out and played with the stars so bright,

Everything seemed silvery in the moonlit night.

The silver oak and its silver leaves,

The tranquil atmosphere and the aromatic breeze,

Serenity prevails, I’m overjoyed and at ease.

Nip the evil in the bud

Cross-border terrorism is India’s bane,

Killing innocents by inhuman — insane.

Three thousand men ready to intrude,

Gives a shock that certainly is rude!

PM Vajpayee a leader of fame,

But enemy’s mischief is difficult to tame.

Messiah of peace as you are,

Hoping against hope, yet ready for war.

Telling America and Britain,

Come and see the tough terrain!

Advise the neighbours to see reason,

Stop the intrusion and treason!

But enemy with its evil designs,

Will never stop such crimes!

With hundred crores our side,

Exploit this resource to take stride!

Attach one crore to border vigilance,

Guard every inch without negligence!

Let the border villagers be our guards,

Pay them salary and the rewards!

Let the enemy fall with a thud,

And nip the evil in the bud.

Examinations

To pass exams we have many subjects to learn.

Maths is a great tension

And no one can mention

Which sums can come.

And with which method they can be done

In chemistry we forget what to dissolve

And we sit with blank faces in the examination hall.

In history we seldom remember the names of kings

And in bio we do not recollect the names of the birds and other beings

In computer we do not know the logic gates,

In geography we cannot predict the climate of a state.

We request God to make a person,

Who can remove this examination,

As we are too small for this hard meditation
