Download Websites;
recover images from digicam NOW you can download the entire Website to your PC and surf it offline whenever it’s convenient. This is a freeware and that’s a bonus. The other featured freeware is a tool to recover images deleted from a digital camera. Veteran digital camera users know how often they lose images by mistake. But this freeware lets you recover lost images safely. WebReaper WebReaper is a Web crawler that can be used to download objects, Web pages or even entire Websites from the Internet unattended. The downloaded objects will be saved in the Windows Internet cache and can then be browsed using Internet Explorer (v4 or higher) in offline mode, or one of the ‘cache browsers’ available from various sources. Alternatively, WebReaper will recreate the entire downloaded Website on your local hard disk, even adjusting the links within the site so that it can be viewed directly using the browser of your choice. It features multi-threaded downloading, explorer-style interface, user-customisable filters, a simple-to-use filter wizard, full drag and drop support, saves downloaded files using relative paths to recreate Websites stored locally with links adjusted to make them fully browsable and ‘Resume’ mode which reads files saved locally to avoid reloading unchanged pages. In order to work, WebReaper needs a Windows system with an Internet link pre-configured. Also, Microsoft Internet Explorer 4 or higher needs to be installed. If you get an error on startup claiming that WinINet.DLL is missing, you need to install/configure IE. To start downloading the contents of a Website, simply click on the Address Bar and type the URL (e.g., www.island-of-sark.co.uk). Click Go and WebReaper will read in the page at that address, extracting a list of all links within that page. Once the page has been completely downloaded, the same process will be performed on each of the sub-links in turn. The structure of the links will be represented in the Tree Pane, with the starting (‘root’) link at the very top, and sub-links below. deleted from the digital camera memory is possible because most of
cameras delete just references to photos while deleting. So deleted
photos are still in memory but cannot be accessed by standard means.
Non-standard methods utilising direct access to the data medium allow to
recover images, in most cases, but only if no new data was written over
them. In most cases the direct access may be gained without any
complementary devices by just connecting the digital camera to PC as
during usual photos copying. Appropriate card reader (depending on the
media type) will work as well. Digital photography utilises many types
of storage (e.g. Compact Flash, Memory Sticks and so on). They are
referred to as "storage media". Similary, there are multiple
ways to access data on the storage media, e.g.
using the camera itself, using a memory card reader device and so on.
All of these devices capable of accessing storage media are referred as
devices. To recover data, select the device from which images should be
recovered. List indicates the media sizes. Common media sizes are small
and devices should be readily identified (typically, you will only see
one device in the list). Once device is selected choose the folder to
which recovered images should be stored and click Proceed. Download
