Ludhiana, April 6
Thirtysix players were shortlisted after the trials held here on Saturday at the Arya College for Boys as probables (under-17) for the regional coaching centre to be set up by the Ludhiana District Cricket Association (LDCA) under the aegis of the Punjab Cricket Association.
As many as 63 boys reported for the trials and the LDCA selection panel comprising a former Punjab Ranji captain and present Chairman, Selection Committee (Seniors), Mr Chaman Lal Malhotra, former Ranji player Lokesh Khanna, Pawan Kumar and Gagandeep Singh picked up these probables for the centre to be started from April 8 at 4 pm at the college under the supervision of NIS coach Manhohan Bedi and Dharamvir.
From these players, the final team will be selected who would represent Ludhiana in the Punjab State Inter-District Cricket Championship for M. L. Markan Trophy.
