Mufti
to inform Centre on security Jammu, April 1 At yesterday’s high-level meeting in Delhi, it was decided to deploy multi-tier forces on the LoC. The Mufti was not the first to make this demand, but the former National Conference government had also made this demand. Even senior state police officials had stressed the need for checking the ingress of Pakistan-trained militants. In addition to this the Mufti wants economic package for poor masses who were lured into militancy with money bags. The Prime Minister, Mr Atal Behari Vajpayee, has said “mistakes will not be repeated in Kashmir”. Isn’t the Centre repeating the mistake by forcing the Chief Minister to reverse his people-friendly policies? ask sources close to the Mufti. |
