Eye check-up camp

Ludhiana, February 28
The 19th Eye Donation and Check-up camp was jointly organised by the New Shivpuri Shopkeepers Ekta Club and Vishva Yog Sansthan at Salem Tabri Gurdwara here on Thursday. More than 175 patients were examined. Thirtytwo persons filled eyed donation pledge cards. The patients were examined by a team of doctors, including Dr R.K.Mehta, Dr J.William and Dr Charanjit Kalra. The camp was inaugurated by Mr Bachhittar Singh, District Education Officer. OC

Papers rejected

Amloh, February 28
Out of 173 candidates, who had filed nomination papers for the Mandi Gobindgarh civic poll scheduled for March 9, the papers of one of the candidates were rejected by Mr Amarjeet Singh Shahi, SDM-cum-returning officer, Amloh, here today. The withdrawal of names would be allowed tomorrow and the allotment of symbols would be done on March 7, said Mr Shahi.
