Valentine gift

Aptech has introduced Gift Your Valentine, especially for couples. One can enroll for Aptech’s basic multilingual basic IT literacy course, Vidya, and offer one’s partner a 50 per cent scholarship on the course fee. Vidya is Aptech’s course, through which it has IT-enabled 3.5 lakh students. A 44-hour course, Vidya covers topics such as Computer Fundamentals, Internet Concepts, MS Word, Powerpoint, Net browsing and e-mail.

Baan –Satyam

Baan, the enterprise application provider for industrial enterprises and part of Invensys Plc, has announced that it has entered into an alliance with Satyam Computer Services Limited, a leading global player in the IT services space, to deliver next generation, e-business solutions. This alliance will bring both companies together to deliver value-based solutions - combining Baan’s iBaan suite of business solutions with strategic consulting and implementation services from Satyam - in India and the ASEAN region.

Optical mouse

LG Electronics India Pvt. Limited (LGEIL), a display and optical storage devices segment company, has announced the launch of range of optical mouse for the Indian market. This latest offering by LG has been branded as LG Opti Mouse and is the newest addition to LG’s wide range of products in the computer peripherals segment. The LG Opti Mouse is available in two models - L112 and L212. The main USP of the LG Opti Mouse is that the Optical sensor is positioned slightly above the vertical centre.
