When tomato sauce goes for a toss The method is similar to that of removing soy sauce stains. Be prompt about removing the stain as soon as you notice it. The longer the stain is left on the fabric or carpet the greater the chances of it setting. After you mop up the spills with a clean rag or towel, use the blotting method to remove the sauce marks. Blot up the ketchup on the carpet Remove as much of the stain as possible before attempting to clean. Mix 1 tsp of any neutral pH liquid detergent that does not contain any bleach into 1 cup of warm water. Cover with a white towel and press down repeatedly blotting up the stain. When the rug gets a taste of salad dressing Remove all excess wet or dry material before attempting to clean. Blot wet materials using a white towel. Apply a small amount of dry cleaning solvent to the towel and blot the stain. Continue until no further transfer of material to the towel is apparent. If the stain remains, gently blot the affected area with a sponge dipped in cleaning solution. Repeat the process till there is no further transfer of material. Then cover the stain with a fresh towel and press down repeatedly to absorb the detergent. Rinse the area with cold water; blot with a dry towel until all moisture is removed. Never use laundry detergents because they may destroy or dye some fibres. Never use non-volatile solvents as they can cause delamination in synthetic carpets either immediately or over a period of time. Non-volatile solvents do not dissipate at room temperature and will remain in your carpet. Never pour solvents directly onto your carpet or saturate your carpet. Instead apply the solvent to a white towel and blot the stained area. Never use highly combustible solvents such as gasoline or paint thinners. Manage mayonnaise marks To remove stains left on non-washable fabrics like carpets or upholstery, follow the above mentioned blotting method. To clean these stains from washable, colour-fast fabrics, you can use a borax solution after wiping the area with a wet sponge. Cheese sauce stains can have you cheesed off Mix 1/2 tsp. of dish washing soap or fine fabric detergent into 1 cup of warm water. Apply a small amount, blot or tamp and repeat until the stain is removed. Cover the stain with the towel and press down repeatedly to absorb the stain material and detergent. Clean the affected area with cold water; blot with a dry towel until all moisture is removed. Repeat this process several times to remove cleaning solution residue. Yeh cheese bari hai sakht sakht Cheese and cheese sauce stains are much easier to remove when fresh. First, blot up as much as possible of the cheese (sauce) with paper towels or a clean cloth. Next, wash in warm water with mild detergent. Do not put the garment in the dryer or you may permanently set the stain. If the stain is still present, you can try to treat the area with a mild ammonia solution (1 tablespoon with ˝ cup of water). Let it soak for a few minutes then wash garment again.
