DREAMS of paper can have several variants, and this is what makes such dreams significant. Here we are not referring to newspapers. You can dream of blank sheet of papers, of papers falling all around you, papers littered around you, receiving a role of paper with something written on it, or trying to read the paper but unable to do so.

As per Indian thought, to see paper in your dream is not a good omen. You could be involved in a grave problem. You could also be accused of some wrongdoing and your reputation could be besmirched. Before you get a chance to prove your innocence you may have to spend a lot of money. Mentally you shall have to face stress. Should a married person see such a dream then they should beware of disagreement in their home and with their spouses. Things could turn serious before you can find a solution.

A similar interpretation is given by western theologists. According to them, to refer to or handle paper in your dreams, denotes the threat of grave losses in the near future. In all likelihood you could be involved in a lawsuit. If you are young, then you should be prepared for ill will from your lover or spouse. You could also face negative reactions from your near ones.

Psychoanalytically speaking, the interpretation of such a dream depends on the situations that the dreamer is facing in real life. Different circumstances lend themselves to different interpretations. You could be trying to tell yourself to pay more attention to your studies if you are a student, or if you are a lawyer, such a dream could relate to your professional life. If you are involved in a lawsuit, it could mean that the case may take a favourable turn, or if you fear that you may lose then it is possible that that might be the final outcome of the case. For a young lover it could mean a love letter. A colourful and festive-looking letter could imply that you are expecting some good news. A blank paper, in all probability, reflects the lack of communication and the need thereof.

A woman of 21 would often dream of receiving a role of paper with something written on it, but she would not be able to make out the writing. It would depress her as she would feel that it might be something important but she was unable to understand it. She would take it to many people but they, too, would be unable to understand it. The dream, in all probability, reflects a feeling of regret at having missed out on some important opportunity. The inability to understand is an attempt to find an excuse for having missed the opportunity.
