Goldie(n) days for Sonali Bendre SONALI Bendre's phone hasn't stopped ringing ever since the news of her engagement to director Goldie Behl filtered out. 'People have been calling non-stop to congratulate me. I don't know what to say. The engagement was such a pleasant surprise. I was completely clueless about it. Goldie really surprised me. I was in a state of shock after what happened.' Sonali flashes that million dollar smile she is known for. Love is not just what's happening in Sonali's life. Her second Telugu film has turned out to be a blockbuster, just like the first one which had her opposite Chiranjeevi. Obviously, Sonali is on cloud nine. Here, she talks about love, life and movies: Your South career seems to be going great guns. Well, my last South release did really well. I have been in and out of town (Mumbai) shooting for my third South film these days. Luckily for me, two of my South films have done really well. Looks like the South industry appreciates you more. (Laughs) I wouldn't say
that. But well, my films have been appreciated and accepted by the
audience. So it sure looks like that. |
There was a time when I was overworked. My date diary was choc-a-bloc. My priorities were different then. There was a constant struggle to fulfill my responsibilities. I had to buy a house and take care of my family. Today I have more or less taken care of them. Of course, there is never an end to duties and responsibilities. But I have them pretty covered. Now I'm looking forward to job satisfaction. I want to do work that excites me. Not the usual song and dance routine. Of course, I love being glamorous. I have nothing against it. But with time you want to move on. What about your television career? Have you taken a break from Kya Masti Kya Dhum? I was just telling Sameer Nair of Star TV the other day that this break has done me good. It has helped me recharge my batteries. There was a time when I was working round the clock, doing double shifts, without a single day off. Today, this break feels so good. I'm finding there is more to life, more to me. I'm discovering a lot about myself. You have just been engaged. Is marriage on the cards soon? I don't know. I didn't know about the engagement. About the future, who can tell? Of course, there is a lot of time. But when it happens, it won't be a secret. Leisure Media News |
