Blood donors get certificates

Machhiwara, October 13
As many as 50 members of the Machhiwara Emergency Blood Donors’ Association were awarded with appreciation letter-cum-certificates by the Samrala, SDM, Jaspal Singh Jassi, at a function held recently.

He was accompanied by Mr Tejinder Singh Kooner, a former chairman of Central Cooperative Bank, Ludhiana, Pradeep Thakur, a journalist and Mr Anil Sood, president of Nagar Panchayat, Machhiwara.

Mr Jassi, in his address, applauded the blood donors and urged all to become a part of the association for this noble cause.

Mr Anil Sood said that 120 persons had become members of the association. He requested the SDM to help them in getting a blood bank established in Machhiwara. Mr Ashok Sood, chairman of the Ram Lila Committee, presented the vote of thanks. Mr Sanjey Deep Mohindru, PRO of the association, read out the annual report of the association.
