Windows

Hide all icons on
desktop
To do this trick:
Start>run>regedit> Go to the following registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER>Software>Microsoft>Windows>CurrentVersion>Policies>Explorer.
In the right pane create a new DWORD value by the name: NoDesktop and
set its value to: 1(right click>modify). Reboot and you will find no
icons on the desktop. Again for displaying all the icons as before just
delete the key you made. Reboot again and you will find all icons on
your desktop.
Fancy IE toolbar
The Internet Explorer
toolbar looks pretty simple. Want to make it fancy and cool. Here’s
the trick, Just add a background image to it and you will be astonished
to see your toolbar. To do this trick, launch the Windows Registry
Editor. Start>run>regedit>and go to the following key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER>SOFTWARE>Microsoft>
Internet Explorer>Toolbar>.
Now in the right pane
create a new String Value and name it BackBitmap and modify its value to
the path of the Bitmap (*. bmp only) you want to dress it up with by
right clicking on it and choosing Modify. When
you reboot the Internet Explorer and the Windows Explorer toolbars will
have a new look. The bitmap will overlap your toolbar and will have
fresh looks. To disable this trick, delete the last key that you made
from the registry.
