Two UN nuclear inspectors, who did not want to give their names, sit in front of a computer screen at the headquarters of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna. 

Yohei Yagi of the National Space Development Agency of Japan (NASDA) demonstrates the world's first prototype of a touchable computer display for blind users, studded with 3,072 dots that pop up to simulate images displayed on a conventional computer screen, at NASDA hedaquarters in Tsukuba.


These four sequence of photos show how a humanoid robot can get up and stand up by itself as the robot is unveiled in Tsukuba, northeast of Tokyo. The National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology has created the world's first robot capable of rising to its feet, overcoming a major weakness in previous robots. The robot is 154 centimeters in height and weighs 58 kilograms.
