PRESIDENTIAL election is to be held today and the result would be declared on July 18. Dr A.P.J Abdul Kalam, the father of India's indigenous missile program, is one of the hot contenders for this post. Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam is a recipient of several awards including Padma Bhusan (1981) and Padma Vibhushan (1990). He has also been honoured with India's highest civilian award, Bharat Ratna (1997).
