Editor's note

Dear Readers,

We started Log in... Tribune on July 31, 2000, in order to bring you closer to the hi-tech world of information technology and computing. In the last 100 issues, we have presented varied developments in an easy-to-understand language. We have discussed topics that impact your lives and have given you the right input to navigate the increasingly incomprehensible world of IT.

Dear readers, we have received an overwhelming response from you. Your letters, especially those addressed to Dr Tribune, and your participation in our interactive features are, no doubt, an indication of the popularity of this supplement. We have noted that a number of cyber cafes in this region (north India) maintain regular Log in... Tribune files in the print form to help their customers. We will continue to give you more, much more.

The new format of Log in... Tribune will reflect new thinking. It has new features and yet retains the popular old features with which you have identified Log in... Tribune.

From this issue, we have new features, including Guest Column, featuring top personalities of the industry. IT Wit and Cyber Humour will look at the lighter side of life, online and offline. Books that interest our audience would be reviewed regularly.

At the same time, our much-appreciated features like Dotcom World, Web Jingle, Downloads and ITerminology have been revamped keeping in mind various suggestions from you.

We hope you will like Log in... Tribune in its new 'avtaar', which will be updated on alternate Mondays. As always, we would appreciate your response to the new-look Log in... Tribune.
