Microsoft announced that Mira, the code-name for new software technologies that will power smart display monitors, extending the Windows XP experience to any room in the home, will be named Microsoft Windows CE for Smart Displays. 


A technician at a laboratory of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University dressed a mannequin called Walter. Filled with pipes containing heated waters, Walter has a "body" temperature of 37 degrees Celsius, three layers of custom-built "skin" and motorised limbs which "sweats" when hot.
