HMT manager's claim
This is regarding a news article in
the Log…in Tribune, HMT manager, Oracle professional, published on
June 17, 2002. In the write-up Sandeep Mahajan, an HMT Manager, had
claimed that he is the first Oracle 9i - DBA professional from the
northern India. This is wrong and I contest this claim. I cleared this
exam on March 30 nearly two months before the HMT manager did. I run a
computer centre in Amritsar and have eight years of work experience in
the USA as a Database Administrator and Unix System Administrator. I
did my BE (Mech.) from PEC, Chandigarh. There are a lot of persons
clearing the certifications for the sake of clearing but OCPs merely
on paper do not serve any purpose. I have five Oracle certifications
while 25 of my students have got OCP certifications in DBA or
Developer Track in the last four years.— Suneet Kapoor, Amritsar
