Tony Blair
Ranga

TONY BLAIR who was elected for a second term as the British premier was in Delhi to meet Indian leaders and to strengthen the fight against terrorism. During his short stay at the Capital, he was able to fulfil some of his engagements. It was during one of his busy schedules that I was able to greet him with his sketch along with a copy of the sketch which he had autographed some years back with the remark, "Hope to see you again soon". He had then visited Delhi as a member of the British parliamentary delegation.

He was, no doubt, delighted to see the old sketch which he showed it to his wife who was accompanying him and appeared happy to see the latest one. He was in a good mood and wrote on the sketch, "You are too kind to me", and signed it in front of his beaming wife and then collected a similar sketch to carry home.
